Mr. X: "An interesting perspective on the complexity of what happened." A complexity greater than forcing the natives and their black slaves off their land? What could that be?"
D: Following a century of contact on more or less equal terms, there were years of strategic alliances and equally grievous misunderstandings between Southeastern 'frontier' settlers and local Native Americans. The end result, much like this year's election was in flux until after the War of 1812 when concerns about Britain and those 'radicalized' tribes that had allied with the British (much as with ISIS), allowed the opportunistic wholesale expulsion of a population via the "Trail of Tears."
So yeah, I think there is a lot to be gained from understanding the complexity of what happened. Imagine if a different type of dialogue, not particularly furthered by memes and blowhards, had evolved.
