Not sure if this explains Arisugawa Park’s inability to sell, but I do take heart.
And yeah, I was impressed by Craig's "I'd rather slash my wrists" stance on the whole Bond thing. There are a million worthier plots and heroes waiting in the wings.
Let’s include the Mission Impossible series in this intellectual heist: “a reassuring vision of the world in which the greatest threat is an orderly criminal organization run by a single supervillain.”
That said, these are movies I inevitably devour on the big screen. Kinetic filmmaking by committee, at its highest.
And they are what will be showing in Manila and Cebu. Already seen the guy on the beach hawking the pirated Spectre DVDs for a week (something reassuringly anachronistic about that, like Sony finally stopping production of Betamax tapes in 2015). You take what you can get.
